When did Ray & Charles Eames design their classic Lounge Chair?
The Eames Lounge Chair design was completed in 1956, sparked from an initial comment from Charles to his wife: “Why don’t we make an updated version of the old English club chair?” The process did take a few years, transforming the rigid traditional club chair into something much more luxurious, comfortable and modern looking.
