Freedom redefines the concept of traditional task chairs. Designer Niels Diffrient aimed to design an office chair that automatically adapts to the user allowing them to move freely from posture to posture.
Product Details
The Freedom chair features a dynamic articulating headrest to support the head and neck as users recline. It moves with the sitter so they can change postures without making manual adjustments and stay comfortable in any position.
The body-friendly armrests move up and down together staying with the user during recline for continuous comfort and support. Unlike other chair designs Freedom’s armrests are attached to the back of the chair to ensure synchronous use.
Humanscale’s new chrome-free leather Corvara manufactured by Wollsdorf Leather – a carbon neutral tannery. Instead of using harmful chemicals used in most methods for tanning leathers a synthetic vegetable tanning is used to ensure our leathers are free from heavy metals reducing the risk of causing harm to the environment during production.
Corvara is a high quality a semi aniline dyed leather that offers a smooth silky feel and ultimate durability. It is a top full grain leather that is embossed lightly for a consistent uniform grain structure.
