Vitra Eames desk unit EDU designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1949 has been designed for residential use only. The desk offers shelves and storage for all kinds of needs and its design suits all kinds of environments.
Product Details
Table top: plywood with birch veneer (Poland and Finland).
Metal surfaces: black powder-coated finish.
Panels: powder-coated aluminium.
Shelves: maple plywood with birch face veneer (Poland and Finland) transparent lacquer finish.
Legs: individual levelling adjustment.
In collaboration with the Eames Office and Dutch designer Hella Jongerius, a new colour scheme was chosen to give the EDU a fresh and contemporary look while still celebrating the spirit of the 1940s and ’50s.
With an eye-catching combination of coloured panels, the EDU desk adds a cheerful and inviting accent to the home office. The metal support frame is height-adjustable to accommodate uneven floors.
